Arnold Brown has 40 years of experience in the hotel business and another 22 years in sales management.
Mr. Brown has developed, built, and successfully managed a number of branded and independent hotels. He put together shareholder groups, purchased independent hotels, redeveloped them, and rebranded them. Some of these include Best Western Conestoga Inn, Best Western Plus Brant Park Inn and Conference Centre, Best Western Highland Inn, Best Western Inn on the Bay, and the Destination Inn. With each of these properties Mr. Brown planned and built extensive capital improvements that lead to greater market share, increased revenues, and higher profitability. He also conceived, developed two new properties: the Best Western Plus St. Jacobs Country Inn and the Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn and Suites.
The St. Jacobs property excelled in guest service and comfort, was one of the most highly decorated Best Western hotels and a very profitable hotel. The Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn and Suites is a multiple M.K. Guerten award winner, the most prestigious award in Best Western, and the hotel is one of the flagships of the chain.
Arnold Brown has held a number of leadership positions in the hospitality industry and is well known for honesty and integrity. He has been the mentor to dozens of other hotel professionals particularly as a long serving Best Western Governor, Treasurer Best Western Ontario/Quebec, and many Best Western advisory positions.
He has twice been the winner of the District 3 All Star Governor Award, in 2002 the inaugural award, and again in 2014. His expertise covers the full range of hotel ownership including hotel purchase and sale, development, finances, sales and marketing, short and long term planning, and hotel operations.
